HOLY CHURCH OF SAINT PARASKEVI
This historic church of the occupied town is a representative example of a single-aisled longitudinal basilica that bears covering by groin vaults. After the events of the Turkish invasion of 1974, the building was savagely looted and all its movable liturgical equipment was forcibly removed. Subsequently, this religious monument radically changed use as it was converted into a Muslim mosque, remaining inaccessible to the displaced Christian faithful.
