HOLY CHURCH OF SAINT TRINITY

This historic church is the central religious point of reference for the homonymous and largest parish of the occupied small town of Rizokarpaso. It is a building with an impressive structure and characteristic elements of the local Orthodox tradition, which was built and inaugurated at the beginning of the 20th century thanks to donations of benefactors. Despite the difficulties of the Turkish occupation since 1974, the church has been kept open as an active place of worship, hosting from time to time the services of the remaining enclaved residents of the area, while it carries the deep childhood memories of generations of people of Rizokarpaso.
