HOLY CHURCH OF AGIA-FOTOU

This historic church is located in the area of the occupied village of Korovia (administratively under the community of Agios Andronikos, Karpasia) and is dedicated to the local Saint Photeini the Fotou. It is a stone-built monument with a vaulted roof and an impressive bell tower that incorporates an internal spiral staircase. Right beside the church is a deep underground cave with steps, which was the hermitage and the tomb of the Saint, where the renowned healing holy water of the area flows
