HOLY CHURCH OF SAINT GEORGE

This is the main parish church of the occupied village of Exo Metochi on the Mesaoria plain, which is built with the traditional stone of the area. The church served all the religious needs of the community until the Turkish invasion and the displacement of the residents in 1974. Today, this historic building lies under occupation and remains silent and inaccessible for the free celebration of sacraments, having suffered significant damage and alterations in its interior
