HOLY CHURCH OF SAINT GEORGE

This church is located in Pano Kyrenia and was originally founded in 1917 upon the ruins of an earlier medieval church. Its completion was achieved a few years later thanks to the generous contributions and the collective effort of the residents of the area. After the events of the Turkish invasion of 1974, the church has suffered alterations to its external appearance and remains inaccessible for the celebration of the Orthodox services.
