HOLY CHURCH OF SAINT DEMETRIANOS

This newly built church fulfilled an enduring wish of the residents of the area and is the first modern church dedicated to the local Saint Bishop of Tamassos. It was built right next to the ruined remains of an ancient chapel, where the faithful kept a votive lamp lit for decades. The church was inaugurated with all solemnity during the current part of our century, gathering crowds of Christians and housing precious martyrs' relics.
