HOLY CHURCH OF SAINT GEORGE KONTOU

This is one of the best known and most historic monastic complexes of Larnaca, which is located on the north-western outskirts of the city. The present church was built from the ground up during the 19th century on the site of an earlier building and took its name because it was closer to the urban centre in comparison with Saint George the Long.
