HOLY CHURCH OF SAINT GEORGE PENTALIAS

This historic church is located in the old, now ruined part of the community of Pentalia in the Paphos district and is dedicated to the Great Martyr Saint George. The stone building is distinguished for its traditional vaulted construction and the imposing bell tower that dominates the abandoned settlement after the catastrophic earthquake of 1953. Despite the relocation of the residents to the new site, the church is maintained with care and remains a living spiritual symbol of historical memory for the area.
