HOLY CHURCH OF SAINT GEORGE

This holy church is built to the south-east of the residential core of the mountain community of Lagoudera and is the main parish church of the village. It is a historic building of the 16th century, which is closely protected by the Department of Antiquities with regular works of conservation and repair. The interior of the church presents particular religious interest, as it is adorned with a precious wood-carved iconostasis that dates from the 17th century.
