HOLY CHURCH OF SAINT MAMAS, KOILI

This holy chapel is a newly built religious building in the community of Koili in Paphos, which was completed and officially opened in September 2022. The modern church was erected with the aim of reviving the veneration of Saint Mamas in the village, as the original historic church of the Saint had been completely destroyed by the powerful earthquake of 1953. The building follows the lines of the local architecture, offering an environment of spiritual devotion for the residents. The community gathers there to honour with a festival the memory of Saint Mamas every year on 2 September.
