HOLY CHURCH OF SAINT NICHOLAS SYFYLOU ALONAS

The picturesque chapel of Saint Nicholas is located at the mountain site of Symfyllos, approximately ten kilometres to the north of Alona. It was erected during the 15th century and is the only historical remnant of the old settlement of Pigadoulia, which was abandoned during the period of the Frankish rule. The church follows the traditional timber-roofed style of the Troodos area, while the community continues to hold devotional services there, keeping alive the rich religious heritage of the area
