HOLY CHURCH OF SAINT SPYRIDON

This is the new central parish church of the community of Mari in the Larnaca district, which was rebuilt from the foundations after the complete destruction of the previous church by the powerful explosion at the Naval Base in 2011. The present church follows the type of the single-aisled basilica with a traditional pitched roof and is faced externally with beautiful white stone. The monument was officially inaugurated in 2016, once again being the spiritual core and the religious refuge for the residents of the area
