HOLY CHURCH OF SAINTS JOACHIM AND ANNIS

The Holy Church of Saints Joachim and Anna is the central parish church of the community of Kaliana in the valley of Solea. The building follows the type of the single-aisled basilica and is constructed with the use of local stone that matches the architecture of the mountain villages. In its interior a noteworthy iconostasis is housed with modern as well as older icons, being the focal point of the religious life of the residents of the area.
