HOLY CHURCH OF APOSTLE ANDREW

The Holy Church of the Apostle Andrew is located in the community of Klavdia in the Larnaca district and comes under the ecclesiastical district of the Holy Metropolis of Kition. It is a modern, Orthodox Christian church, which was erected after 1974 in order to meet the worship needs of the displaced refugees who settled in the area. The church is particularly important, as it houses a historic and precious western-style icon of the Apostle Andrew, which was saved and transferred by the refugees of the occupied village of Vathylakas. The church celebrates its festival every year on 30 November, the day of the memory of the Apostle Andrew, attracting faithful from the surrounding areas
