HOLY CHURCH OF ARCHANGEL MICHAEL

This particular church is the central parish church of the community and is built in a prominent position near the centre of the village. The building replaced an earlier, smaller church in order to serve the needs of the growing population of miners of the area. In its interior the large wooden iconostasis with the modern icon paintings stands out, as well as the comfortable women's gallery. The church celebrates with all solemnity at the beginning of November, being the focal point of the religious events of the residents.
