HOLY CHURCH OF PANAGIA HEALER

This beautiful church is the main church of the mountain village of Lemythou and is dedicated to Panagia i Iamatiki. The original building was erected in 1721 by the monk Christodoulos, but after destruction it was rebuilt in 1862 and radically renovated at the beginning of the 20th century. In the interior of the church precious relics of ecclesiastical art and the miraculous icon of the Theotokos are kept. A short distance from the enclosure of the church there is a picturesque path that leads to the traditional, cool holy water spring of the Virgin Mary
