HOLY CHURCH OF DORMITION OF THEOTOKOS

This church is located in the central fabric of the community of Avgorou, at a very short distance from the central parish church of the village. It was erected in the middle of the 20th century on land granted by the local priest Papa-Periklis, with the financial assistance and the contributions of the residents of the area who follow the ancestral calendar. The building follows the simple traditional line of the Cypriot countryside and is the principal place of worship of the community of the Old Calendarists in Avgorou. [1]
