HOLY CHURCH OF OF GOD SOPHIA

This imposing church is located in Strovolos and is one of the largest and most impressive churches of Cyprus. Its architectural study and its design were based on the historical models of the emblematic Hagia Sophia in Constantinople. Within the complex there are three underground chapels, one of which functions as a specially arranged baptistery, making the church particularly popular for the celebration of holy sacraments.
