HOLY CHAPEL OF SAINT BARBARA

This stone-built chapel is considered the most ancient Chapel of the community and is found to the south-west of the central church of Saints Barnabas and Hilarion. It is an unadorned, single-chamber and vaulted structure, which lacks a bell tower and has only a traditional semantron. In its interior it preserves precious examples of icon painting art, while its precinct has been suitably conserved with the contribution of the Department of Antiquities.
