METOCHI OF KYKKOS

This historic complex is located in the area of Engomi and is the central administrative and spiritual centre of the Monastery of Kykkos in Nicosia. Within the large paved courtyard dominates the church of Saint Prokopios, which was erected at the end of the nineteenth century, replacing an earlier brick-built little church. The surrounding area stands out for its impressive, verdant gardens, offering a quiet green lung within the city, while the church is very often chosen by the faithful for the celebration of holy sacraments.
