METROPOLIS OF KONSTANTIAS AND FAMAGUSTA

This imposing and magnificent church is the temporary administrative and spiritual seat of the Metropolis, which was transferred to Paralimni after the events of 1974. The building follows the cruciform style with a dome and stands out for its modern, ornate iconographic decoration that began in the mid-nineties. It is located in the central square of the town, right beside the older homonymous church of the 19th century, being the most important religious and national point of reference for the entire free Famagusta district.
