SMALL CHURCH OF SAINTS CONSTANTINE AND HELEN

The old church of Saints Constantine and Helen is located at the south-eastern edge of the village and since 2006 it has functioned as a Chapel, after the erection of the new church. It has been declared a Grade B Monument by the Department of Antiquities. Although its existence is attested already from the 18th century, it was inaugurated in 1946, on the site of an old Byzantine monastery. It is a single-aisled, timber-roofed church, with an iconostasis of the 19th century and icons that date between 1830 and 1895.
