MONASTERY OF SAINT MARINA

This is a historic convent complex, officially known as the Holy Monastery of Saint Marina and Saints Raphael, Nicholas and Irene, which is located outside Xylotymbou on territory of the British Bases. The monastery developed around the original medieval chapel of Saint Marina, with the sisterhood settling there at the end of the 1980s. Today the site includes newer chapels and a large central church, constituting one of the best-known and most active pilgrimages of the entire district
