CHAPEL OF MARK EVGENIKOU

This plain Christian place of worship is built in the southern part of the community of Agios Ioannis, Nicosia, very close to the administrative border with the neighbouring village of Malounta. Its erection was carried out thanks to the private initiative and the financial contribution of a local priest, as well as with the help of a good many devout residents of the wider area. Owing to its quiet location in the Cypriot countryside, this small chapel offers spiritual seclusion to passers-by and is used mainly for small family gatherings and religious feasts.
