CHAPEL OF PANAGIA PARSATA

This is an isolated and picturesque chapel, known also as Panagia Odigitria, which is located in the abandoned and ruined settlement of Parsata in the mountainous Larnaca district. The church is a small, single-chamber stone structure with a traditional gabled tiled roof and a semicircular apse of the sanctuary. The chapel is the only intact building that survives within the ruined landscape of the old dwellings of the miners, offering a unique sense of serenity and historical memory to the few visitors and hikers of the area
