ORTHODOXO CHAPEL

This traditional church, dedicated to Saint George, is the main religious monument of the mountain settlement and is recognised as an ancient monument. It follows the architectural type of the small high-roofed basilica of Troodos, having an impressive pitched wooden ceiling with rare floral decoration. In its interior the ornate wood-carved iconostasis that was gilded in the middle of the nineteenth century stands out, as well as three historic clay jars embedded in the floor for the improvement of the acoustics
