OLD CHURCH OF SAINT GEORGE

The old church of Saint George dominates a picturesque square in the heart of the historic core in Kalo Chorio Oreinis. It is a single-aisled vaulted building, constructed of mountain stone, river pebbles, limestone blocks and pieces of tiles. In its interior precious wall paintings are preserved that date to the middle of the 17th century, while its imposing bell tower has a two-storey structure with arches and rich decoration.
