OLD CHURCH OF SAINT NICHOLAS

This historic church was the central church of Pano Lakatamia until the erection of the modern church in 1997. The building is a unique assemblage of different periods, as it received significant architectural interventions and extensions during the second half of the 19th century as well as in 1953. In the surrounding area of the church the cemetery of the community was formerly located, while recently the church was fully renovated in order to preserve its historical identity.
