OLD CHURCH OF SAINT CATHERINE (RUINS)

These medieval remains belong to the old little church that formed part of the renowned royal manor of the Frankish period in the area. The building bears strong elements of Western style and was almost completely destroyed during the historic conflicts with the Mamluks. Today, the ruins of the church are protected as an important archaeological monument, preserving the rich medieval heritage of the place.
