OLD CHURCH OF ARCHANGEL MICHAEL

The Church is dedicated to the Archangel Michael and was built in the 17th century, and is located at a high point within the Community. Externally it is built with hard calcareous stone and is a vaulted basilica. It is a church that is an ornament for the Community of Oroklini, both for its architecture and for its historical significance. Originally the church, when it was built, was smaller, and according to testimonies of the residents it was extended in 1867, when at the expense of the residents the icons were repainted. However, over the years the repairs that were made have deteriorated.
