PANAGIA GORGOEPIKOOS, KARDIOVASTAZOUSA
This very small, timber-roofed church is built on a rise at the edge of the mountain village and is constructed with local Troodos stone. Although on its iconostasis it bears the portable icon of Panagia Gorgoepikoos, the church is officially dedicated to the Kardiovastazousa, owing to a distinctive wall painting that adorns the niche of the Sanctuary. The building suffered significant damage over the course of time, with the result that its pointed tiled roof was completely rebuilt during the later conservations by the Department of Antiquities
