PANAGIA THE TRACHEIA (TRASIA)

This medieval chapel is located in the homonymous rural area near Dasaki Achnas and is built above a large underground cave. Architecturally it is a traditional single-aisled vaulted church, in which a few traces of old icon paintings and historical elements survive. According to ecclesiastical tradition, the site is closely connected with the martyrdom of the local Saint Konstantinos the Alaman during the first Christian centuries.
