PANAGIA KATAFYGIOTISSA

This more recent little church is built in the southern part of the village, within an idyllic and pine-covered environment at the location of Gounari. It was built with the collective effort of the residents during the difficult years of the EOKA liberation struggle, replacing an earlier ruined chapel that previously existed in the same area. The church is dedicated to the Virgin Mary as protector of those in pain, offering a serene mountain refuge for the faithful.
