PANAGIA LAMBADIOTISSA
To the north-west of the settlement, upon the slope of a hill, the ruins of an important medieval church are found that belonged to an old Byzantine settlement. Its external stone walls survive today at a low height, revealing its single-aisled structure and the cylindrical pilasters that once supported the central dome. At the site fragments of its original icon painting decoration have been found. Owing to its condition, the monument functions mainly as an archaeological and historical place of pilgrimage, while at a short distance a newer homonymous Chapel has been erected.
