PANAGIA LEIVADIOTISSA

This picturesque Byzantine chapel is built to the north-east of the village, on a beautiful hilltop plateau that overlooks the verdant valley of the Syrkatis river. The area around the church is characterised by the presence of centuries-old wild olive trees that complement the serene natural landscape. Historical documents relate that the building was radically renovated at the end of the 18th century following the relevant ecclesiastical permission.
