PANAGIA PARAMYTHIA

Panagia i Paramythia in Dromolaxia is a modern, stone-built religious refuge. Its creation is due to the wish of the Theotokos herself, as she expressed it through a miraculous event to a Cypriot pilgrim during his stay at the Holy Great Monastery of Vatopedi on Mount Athos. It is a plain and devotional church which, despite its small size, attracts many faithful who seek spiritual consolation (“paramythia” means consolation). It is open daily for pilgrimage, offering at the same time an idyllic and serene environment for the celebration of holy sacraments
