CHAPEL OF SAINT MAMAS

This newly built and imposing church is built in a developing residential area of the free community of Avgorou in the Famagusta district. It is a modern, large structure that meets the spiritual needs of the residents of the surrounding parish. Unfortunately, the Chapel has been the target of sacrilegious thieves in the past, who removed ecclesiastical objects (such as candle stands and votive lamps), but the church remains fully functional, excellently protected and is an important centre of worship of the area.
