CHAPEL OF PROPHET ELIJAH (RUINS)

At the top of a steep rise of the mountain community survive the few ruins and the stone foundations of an old, isolated chapel that was dedicated to the Prophet Elijah. The location was chosen on the basis of the folk tradition that connects this particular Saint with high mountain peaks, offering an unlimited panoramic view towards the surrounding valleys of Limassol. Today the site presents intense historical interest, testifying to the old worship customs of the residents before the relocation of the village.
