PROPHET ELIJAH

This magnificent church is the central parish church of the community of Agridia and dominates the heart of the settlement. Its construction began in 1956 and was completed in 1960, while its official inauguration was celebrated a good many years later, in 1986. According to local tradition, the site of its erection was chosen in a miraculous manner when the residents threw a trowel from the mountain and built the church at the spot where it fell. Its interior is spacious and fully arranged to host the great religious ceremonies of the faithful of the area
