PROPHET ELIJAH

This picturesque chapel is built at the top of a steep and imposing hill that dominates above the traditional wine village of Limassol. It is a plain, single-chamber stone building with a pitched tiled roof, which was erected by the residents in honour of the protector against weather phenomena. The surrounding area offers a striking, panoramic view towards the surrounding mountain peaks and the extensive vineyards of the area, being the focal point of religious devotion during the annual feast of the Prophet
