SINAI MONASTERY (RUINS)
A ruined medieval complex of enormous historical value, which was the most important metochi of the ancient Monastery of Sinai on the island. It is located in isolation on the verdant northern slopes of the western Pentadaktylos, offering captivating and panoramic views towards the coastline of Kyrenia. The church is dedicated to Saint Paraskevi and preserves visible architectural elements, such as worn reliefs at the main entrance of the katholikon. After the events of nineteen seventy-four, the monument was completely abandoned to its fate, with the result that its stone walls are collapsing and the site is entirely inaccessible for worship.
