CAVE OF SAINT JOHN IN SIA

This distinctive place of worship is the authentic hermitage where the local Saint John the Cave-dweller practised monasticism. It is a small cave hewn into the rock, where to this day the stone bed of the Saint is preserved. Set beside a torrent, the cave functions as a devotional retreat and is directly connected with the later stone-built chapel that is located exactly above it.
