HOLY FORERUNNER

This traditional church is located in the eastern part of the mountain settlement, built among the picturesque lanes of the village. It is constructed of local stone of the area and bears the characteristic timber-framed tiled roof architecture found in the mountain resorts of Pitsilia. In its interior the old wood-carved iconostasis and the historical icons stand out, while the external paved enclosure offers a panoramic view towards the verdant slopes. It is one of the central places of worship of the community, preserving unaltered its historical character.
