HOLY CROSS

This church is built at the exit of the community, at the top of a hill in the direction of Korakou - Evrychou. Local tradition connects its erection with the transfer of a Cross from the village of Lampadou, which miraculously became impossible to lift at this particular spot. Architecturally it belongs to the type of the timber-roofed basilica, having received additions during the 18th century and a complete renovation of its roof and its masonry in recent years.
