Ancient Church of Saint George Akamas

In a completely isolated area deep within the Akamas peninsula, at a short distance northwest of the ruined monastery of Saint Konon, are located the ruins of the ancient church of Saint George. This medieval structure collapsed long ago and now only certain stone sections of its masonry survive, surrounded by the wild nature of the protected area. Owing to its condition, the space is not functional for sacraments, offering however a unique historic stop with a view of the vast blue of the Mediterranean.
