Archangel Michael

This is a small and isolated chapel of the Byzantine period that is located in the wider area of Kofinou. The church preserves precious samples of ecclesiastical art in its interior, as its walls are adorned with rare historic wall paintings that depict the figure of the Archangel and various religious scenes, such as the miracle at Chonae. Today the monument functions mainly as a historic and pilgrimage space rather than as a parish church for daily sacraments.
