Cathedral of Apostle Barnabas Levkosias

This majestic church is the new official seat and the central Cathedral of the Holy Archbishopric of Cyprus, located in the walled old town of Nicosia. It follows the architectural type of the cross-in-square inscribed church with a large central dome and stands out for its interior design, which includes no columns, allowing the faithful to have absolute visibility. It is used for the most official ecclesiastical ceremonies of the island, while it is also open for sacraments of citizens.
