Cathedral of Saint Napas

This emblematic architectural monument dominates the old urban core of Limassol, near the seaside area of Molos, and is a point of reference for the whole island. The imposing church is built in the shape of a cross with a dome upon the foundations of older small churches and stands out for its use of shining white marble. Its interior presents rare religious and artistic value, as it is adorned by an elaborate marble iconostasis and unique ceiling paintings created by great painters. As the official cathedral of the town, it hosts all the great religious ceremonies of the Metropolis as well as numerous sacraments.
