Cathedral of Saint Napas

A majestic and historic church with distinctive architecture that dominates the historic centre of the town, very close to the seafront. It was built in the early twentieth century upon the remains of older Christian edifices and is dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Its interior is adorned by an impressive marble iconostasis, rare hagiographies on the ceiling and a valuable icon covered with silver. It is a timeless spiritual and administrative core of the area, attracting daily crowds of local and foreign visitors.
