Cathedral of Saint Theodore

This historic cathedral is located in the urban area of Paphos, in the central district of Mousalla, right next to the Metropolitan Palace. It was erected in the late 19th century upon the foundations of an older church that functioned as the seat of the Metropolis from the time of the Turkish occupation, while in 1983 it was extended to the west. It is the official religious centre of the town, hosting all the official doxologies, the great ecclesiastical anniversaries and the receptions of foreign church leaders.
